Get ready to save the day with PJ Masks!

National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) has joined with Entertainment One (eOne)’s popular television animation PJ Masks to provide a special week of superhero activities for nurseries.

Early years experts at NDNA have designed a week-long programme of themed developmental activities headed – ‘It’s time to be a hero with PJ Masks’.

Running from 19 – 23 of November, the campaign aims to provide nurseries with a toolkit of fun and inspiring assets. These will support young children to work together, get active and develop their own superpowers such as resilience and self-esteem.

The night time adventures of the PJ Masks trio on Disney Junior and Tiny Pop are hugely popular with children. In the show, Catboy, Owlette and Gekko use their dynamic and heroic powers to embark on action-packed adventures, solving mysteries while learning valuable life lessons along the way. 

Purnima Tanuku OBE, Chief Executive of NDNA said: ‘Children just love PJ Masks so we are sure they will enjoy this week of special PJ Mask-themed activities which are carefully crafted to reflect learning goals and build self-esteem.

‘Each day they will be working on two superpowers ranging from self-control to precision. We also have resources for nurseries and pre-schools to support a celebration event which can involve parents and the wider community, with a fundraising element for Children’s charity, the Youth Sport Trust. We can’t wait to get started!”

The superpowers for each day will be:

  • Monday – perception and precision
  • Tuesday – movement and persistence
  • Wednesday – curiosity and self-control
  • Thursday – big feelings and friendships
  • Friday – listening and memory

Activities include a training mission to the moon, fitness training, obstacle course, buying items from a shopping list to make a super food smoothie, caring for animals and playing a memory game. 

Resources including PJ Masks branded posters and detailed activities are all free to download from NDNA’s website and are open to members and non-members to enjoy and use.
